Alfresco on Centos 5 Install Issue

I have a Centos LAMP configuration.  I have downloaded the AlfrescoEnterprisePlusWCM-2.1.1-Linux-x86-Install.zip 81MB file from Alfresco.

After unzip, I have two files:
AlfrescoWCMEnterprise-2.1.1-Linux-x86-Install
AlfrescoEnterprise-2.1.1-Linux-x86-Install

When I click on either one I get the message: Couldn't display "/home/kashwort/Desktop/Alfre…prise-2.1.1-Linux-x86-Install".

I assumed the enterprise would unzip to a file that would insatll automatically.

Any help?

Hi,

Apologies for the time it took to answer this question, I'm new here anyway Smiley Happy. The reason the installer didn't run is because you probably need to make it executable:

chmod +x /home/kashwort/Desktop/Alfresco-Enterprise-2.1.1-Linux-x86-Install

Assuming that's the real path name/ file name. You should then be able to run the installer by clicking it. You can also set the executable permission from Gnome by right clicking the file > properties > permissions.

Regards,

Alan
