Alfresco needs re-indexing after import

Hi guys;
At the moment - I've been exporting/importing content across different QS sites in different Repos.

After any type of import - it seems I need to restart Alfresco and force it to reindex.
Anyone else have these issues?
Any solutions?

I've tried both with Solr and without Solr - but still no luck.

Please decribe exactly what you are doing.
Is this a database import??

It's an import done through the explorer interface with an ACP package. Looks like a possible cache issue?
