Alfresco Metadata

Dear All,

Please help me URGENTLY on How Alfresco (Share) stores all metadata and how we can populate it or say use it in our (Custom) Application ?

I know that Alfresco stores everything in to the Database but how to access it and in which format it stores?

I hope user entered meta data properties are stored for MySql DB, in the table alf_node_properties.
