Alfresco Enterprise vs. Community Edition 3.4.d

Fellow developers,

If I develop an application that consumes the Community Edition's REST Web scripts (using CMIS) Will that development be compatible with the Enterprise edition that will be installed onto our network shortly? The Enterprise edition will be a RHEL VM, with Alfresco installed on it. My development environment is currently a windows server running the Windows installation of Alfresco Community edition.

Has anyone else had this type of experience and have any advice?

Cheers,
-T

Generally speaking, yes.

The caveats being: the version numbers should closely match (i.e. 3.4, whereas 3.2 may well be different). There may have also been bug fixes or improvements to APIs between versions, but these should be less of a problem using something like CMIS which has an active Working Group defining the API.

thanks,
Mike

Thanks for the quick reply Mike.

If I run into any issues during the switch over to Alfresco Enterprise, I will try and post them here perhaps for some assistance as well as for the benefit of others who may be working under similar circumstances.
