Alfresco Community 4.2.f user permissions?

Dear All,

I have the same problem as this user here:

How do I manage the permissions on document and folder level?
What's the difference between consumer and site consumer?
Are these news somewhere documented - for end-users?

Example:
User A should be a consumer in Folder 1
User A should be a collaborator in Folder 2
User B should be a consumer in Folder 2
