Try it out and let us know what you think.

NOTE: An issue has been identified upgrading from 3.X to 4.0a Community

- if you are upgrading from 3.X then your Share users will no longer be able to modify their user dashboard layout or dashlets.

To fix this problem, download the following Alfresco WebScript:
http://bit.ly/alfcommunity40postfix

Unpack the zip and drop the files into any classpath location that can be found by Alfresco WebScripts such as:
\tomcat\shared\classes\alfresco\extension\templates\webscripts
Refresh the WebScripts (or restart the server)
Execute the following URL:

http://<yourserver-and-port>/alfresco/service/sitemigrationpostfix

You will see a "success" message.
Users will then immediately be able to modify user dashboards again.

Sorry for the inconvenience - this only affects upgrades from 3.X, not new installations. The issue has also been fixed on HEAD and for the next 4.0b Community release.
