Alfresco 3C stable and MediaWiki install failure

Hi,

I have been trying to get the MediaWiki amp to install successfully with the Alfresco 3c Stable release.  This is a real puzzle because with an earlier version of 3C, like the end of December 2008, I was able to install Alfresco and then get the latest build of MediaWiki from the nightly build page and it ran OK.

So, now I have the stable 3C and the MediaWiki amp file referenced from the downloads page and it doesn't work. 

I am following the steps provided on the Install guide from here:

This all works.  I suppose it is possible these are not the correct instructions for PHP but I downloaded the latest of everything from here:

The first thing that happens after installing the mediawiki amp is that upon restarting the Alfresco server, the amp is not deployed. It just gets ignored. 

So, I decided to shut down the server and delete the exploded alfresco war file to force the re-deploy.  This works until the startup gets to the mediawiki application and tries to deploy it.  I figured, that because the modifications for php that need to be added to the alfresco web.xml file were lost when I forced the deployment, that this caused the failure.

So, I shut down the alfresco server, added back in the php modifications and started up the Alfresco server again.

Same problem.  So here is the failure.  Does anyone have a solutions to what is causing this?  Thanks very much.

I thought maybe the reason the Mediawiki amp failed to install and in fact brought down the whole website, was because of the change from Tomcat 5 to Tomcat 6. I tried an install into the Tomcat 5 environment and installed Alfresco in pieces using the various war files. 

I ended up with the same results.  All was well until I installed the Mediawiki, the website no longer worked.

I guess the first question to ask, has anyone successfully installed the 3C stable version of the MediaWiki AMP?

If so, then I am most likely doing something wrong and can get back to digging into my environment.
