Hi

I have install Alfresco 3.2 and everything is working fine apart from I can't create an network share. I have checked firewall is off, samba is not installed on this server.

Have looked in the forums and tired most things. If I do an nmap scan of the localhost I can't see these ports open. It would seem that alfresco isn't load the samba/cifs part. But I believe this is default. There are no errors in alfresco.log that I can see either when it boots up or when I try and connect to the share.

Any ideas as this is now the only thing that is stoping me from rolling this out as our documention server.

Many thanks

Chris.

See "Running SMB/CIFS from a normal user account" on page 95 of the installation guide

You may need to configure CIFS to use non-privileged ports and then use firewall rules to forward them.

Once I found the right config file to change and added the rules in it worked!!

Thanks for your help.

Where is the correct config file found? I've tried various locations and no results or helpful log errors.
