Hello,
I'm migrating from Alfresco 3.0 to 3.2 and I can't get my cifs filesystems working.
If I'm correct the filesystem configuration is now in subsystems and /Alfresco/tomcat/webapps/shared/classes/alfresco/extension/file-servers-custom.xml
is deprecated. (I'm not completely sure of this because the sample files are still there)
There seems to a bug which prevent config files in extensions/subsystems to loaded ( https://issues.alfresco.com/jira/browse/ETHREEOH-2478 ).
For the configuration of ldap-ad and ntlm I managed to work around this by placing the config in alfresco-global.properties,
but the cifs config is in xml format and not .properties.
Is it possible to get this working?
Regards,
Glenn Laeenen

The bug you mention has now been fixed. Just take a more recent nightly build.

I have already donwloaded this ( http://dev.alfresco.com/downloads/nightly/dist/Alfresco-Labs-3.2_dev-Linux-x86-Install )
Is is normal that the last nightly build is almost 1 month old?
When I installed this one the alfresco-global.properties file was missing so I reverted to the 3.2 stable release.

Oh dear. That's far too old. I will investigate.

There is now a build there from the 14th of July. I've checked the build number (2056) and it definitely contains the fix.

Thanks for the build. The subsystems are indeed working now.
Could you tell me how to get SSO working with cifs?
I need to know how I set the authenticator type.
Do I need to copy file-servers-context.xml to custom-file-servers-context.xml?
Because when I place only 1 filesystem in the custom file I only get that filesystem and the default config is not loaded.

No. In v3.2 you don't have to mess around with authentication settings for the file servers. They are automatically set for you depending on your choice of authentication subsystem (i.e. the values you have set in the authentication.chain property).

Hi,
I'm having a similar problem but my install is from Cannonical…I just used the package in the Alfresco PPA through apt-get install alfresco-community.
Do I need to reinstall using your 14th July package or could I fix this through configuration ?

You will need the 14th July build (or later) if you want to override the spring configuration of a subsystem.
