Alfresco 3.2 and Office 2003, IMAP problem

First, to describe our development environment:

Development machine: Win7, Alfresco 3.2 deployed on JBoss for Windows (localhost), Office 2003

Testing machine: CentOS Linux, Alfresco 3.2 deployed on JBoss for Linux

When I was developing solution using Alfresco IMAP and Outlook, communication between Outlook and Alfresco was going relatively smoothly (I created IMAP e-mail account attached on Alfresco IMAP).

But, when solution was deployed on testing machine, communication between Office on development machine and Alfresco on testing machine was extremely slow and near impossible.

What could be the problem? Why Alfresco IMAP on development machine communicates with Office in normal fashion, but when it is Alfresco on different machine, it is slow or impossible.

I guess it's not the problem with Linux machine, I've tested IMAP with telnet, which promptly opens the IMAP port…

It's solved.

The problem was in Alfresco IMAP default mount point which mounts whole Company Home. That's why Outlook couldn't work with IMAP because it was working with every space and node on Alfresco!  :x

I was always under impression that default configuration properties must work reasonably well. I'm dissapointed this was not the case, it led me into a long wild goose chase…
