Hi guys,

do you have any plans on going towards a rich like web app functionality support thru an AJAX-JSF solution.. ?

Do you believe AJAX'ed web clients will be the hit the comming years?

AJAX is nothing more than a "hack" but looks like it will let
web development become much more innovative, at least now.

Hi,

Personally I think AJAX is great if used properly and in moderation, the danger at the moment I feel is that people will go overboard with the technology and build complete webapps using solely AJAX, which I'm not sure is the best approach.

There are several places in our app crying out for AJAX i.e. some of the selector components. So yes, there are plans to add some AJAX functionality at some point in the future but at the moment, unfortunately, it's not one of the highest priority items on the long list of things to do  Smiley Sad

Yes Gavin, I think as you do, using AJAX in a moderate way it's the way to go…

I'm actually new to JSF, but will read a good book on this web framework and for sure I will take hands on your code to help Alfesco grow faster… it's fantastic the way Alfresco is architected and the technologies you are using (big fan of all of them) , except for JSF which is promising but has to mature more like tapestry has.
