afresco.war deployment

Hey to all,

  System: CentOS 6.3 + Alfresco 4.2.c
  Situation: Normal - After "The Official selfextracting-package" install
  Fact: Each time the alfresco service/system is starting up I can see a message in "catalina.out" that reads: "… Deploying web application archive /../alfresco.war …" Tha same for "/../share.war"
  Question: Is there a way to deploy once to reduce the overall startup time?

No.   It shouldn't be extracting anything on subsequent starts, the extracted files are already present.  However the "deploying" message is perfectly normal.

You may be able to remove unused services to speed up start up time.
