Dear all,
we're a durable goods small france manufacturing company and we need a very easy user interface,
like putting "personal" files into the company repository in a very very easy and quick way
(e.g. just dragging and dropping).
The actual interface is OK, but not so quick for us: does anybody know a ready user-friendly interface
on the Alfresco repository ?
Thank you so much
David

Hi,
You might be interested in Fred. Fred is a desktop application developed by my employer XeniT that provides an easy to use interface to access Alfresco. It allows drag and drop to and from Alfresco and unlike the CIFS protocol also allows easy access to metadata and search.
Visit our website for more information: http://www.xenit.eu/?q=fred
There is an Alfresco webinar about Fred tomorrow, you can register for it here: http://www.alfresco.com/about/events/2010/03/fred/
Best Regards
Jonas

The AIR version of FlexSpaces has drag drop from the desktop into it (and copy / paste from the desktop into it). Its open source and multiplatform (Windows, Mac, Linux). Has support for basic search, advanced search, thumbnails, properties edit, checkin/checkout, tagging, start workflow/task list. Latest version should be easier to use with its bigger labeled toolbar icons. Need to add drag out alternative to its download dialog. There is also an in browser version.
