admin console higher priority then global.properties?

Hi,

My problem is that no matter what I change in the alfresco-global.properties, alfresco only loads the configurations from the admin console. Also if I chane something in the admin console it wont change in the actual alfresco-global.properties. Since I used the admin console I lost control over the configurations. I wanted to set share.port=443 but e.g. in the site invite email the port stays 80 -.-

Help?

Any ideas?

Can you please try to put your alfresco-global.properties file at location {TOMCAT_HOME}/shared/classes.
Then it should load configuration from alfresco-global.properties file.

I never had the file somewhere else ^^
But as mrogers said, the admin console has highest priority and will override any other configurations.

Yes the admin console is highest priority.    Once you start using it then you need to continue using it,.
