Adhoc Workflow not available

Hi All

I am using community edition 4.2 (installed on a Ubuntu VM running on a Win Server 2008 machine on my LAN). When I go to create workflow for a document, I don't get 'AdHoc' workflow as an option. Do I need to configure Alfresco to enable AdHoc workflows? I thought AdHoc are available out-of-the-box.

Couldn't find anything on this in the forum or in the Alfresco wiki & docs.

It should be there. Are you using JBPM or Activiti workflow engine?

Thanks - looks like I'm using the Activiti engine … I have some workflows with descriptions like "review and approval of content using Activiti workflow engine". I have basically done the default installation with no customisation at all.

I figured out that the 'Ad Hoc' workflow is being called 'New Task'.
