Adding Hibernate Extension (like JPA Extension) to Activiti

Hi,

I am considering adding Hibernate Extension (like JPA Extension) to Activiti so Hibernate Session can be used instead of EntityManager by Activiti when dealing with process variables which are entities. Also I'd like to use Spring's HibernateTransactionManager instead of JpaTransactionManager. Where should I start from? How can I get help?
