Adding Favorite feature for Discussions

Can any one guide how can we add "Favorite" feature for Discussions in Share? which is available
for Document and Share Sites.

any idea guys?

I was looking at webscript alfresco/service/api/people/{userid}/preferences but didn't get
idea how to utilize it for making "Discussions" Favorite.

Kindly share your views.
