Adding Custome Metadata

Hi,

        I am trying to store epub documents in alfresco and Want to add some custome metadata which can be used for search purposes ex:chapters, some keywords etc. could anybody suggest me a way to do this. I am using Enterprise Edition 4.1.5(Trail Version).

                      Thank you so much for the post, since I am not familiar with CMIS technology, can we achieve it with Alfresco, if yes please let me know.

Yes, it is definitely possible to store any kind of file in the repository and associate custom metadata with each object. You can then query for those objects, create new ones, update existing ones, fetch the content of objects, and delete objects, all through CMIS.
