Hi,
how can a user (not a déveloper) insert a new property to a document or a folder ? (and after that, he should be able to insert a value for this property).
Is it possible to do it without having to update and deploy a lot of XML files ?
Thanks for your answers,
Alain

Alfresco still has work to do to let functional people administer it. I agree with you.
Properties have to be defined first in a model (XML) and in user interface configuration. Once the model is available, an end user can apply the aspect containing the property (or specialise to the type containing the property) and can use the property from the default user interface.
Making the properties available is at this moment something for Alfresco administrators. It's made a little easier with the introduction of dynamic models, so that Alfresco doesnt need a restart.

Thanks.
I think the dynamic models could help me. Maybe I could write a little script that helps users to update the dynamic models… (and helps them not to break everything).
