Activiti Modeler & Message flow

Two questions:
Since Activiti Modeler does not have implementation of message flow between lanes. How can one model message flow from one lane to another lane i.e. A message flow from Customer lane triggers message event on Customer Service Agent?

I installed Activiti-5.19.0 and noticed the embedded modeler is similar to the Alfresco's enterprise version, unlike the older version 1.0.
Is this new version open source as well?

I'm not following your versions. This is how it is:
- The v6 UI contains a version of the modeler which is based on the enterprise code (slimmed down in richness, not in functionality)
- This modeler is open source
- The older versions in v5 are based on a slightly older version

But you are right, message flows is something we don't support very well right now. The reason is that the engine doesn't execute them. This is something we want to fix in the future.
