Activiti Modeler doesn't work on Internet Explorer 9

Navigate to activiti-explorer ui –>Model workspace –>Edit
>OBSERVED:
Activiti Modeler is not opened.

With Firefox and Chrome, everything works fine.
I also added the fix from here to make it work in Chrome: http://forums.activiti.org/content/activiti-modeler-doesnt-work-chrome-v34

The browser console says:

SCRIPT256: This command is not supported.

Does anyone know if the modeler works with a newer version of IE? I cannot test this because in our company, we have no ServicePack1 for Win7 and therefore, I cannot install IE 11

With the Internet Explorer 11, the Modeler opens, but when I try to save a process, I get an error in oryx.debug.js on line 24655 which is the following line:

<code>var stripOutArray = svgClone.getElementsByClassName("stripable-element-force");</code>

Error is: The object does not support the property or method "getElementsByClassName"

Does anyone has an idea?

I know that officially, the Internet Explorer is not supported by the modeler (I think to know because of lacking svg-support?). But according to microsoft, IE 11 supports svg very well. Therefore, I don´t unterstand why it does not work.
