Activiti Examples not working on mySQL

I am getting the following exception when I run JUnits within activiti-engine-examples project  using Activiti with mysql db.

Can anybody tell me what could be the reason behind it.I have all the required configurations in place.

What version of java are you running? Seems to be a mismatch between java util Logging…

It is java version "1.6.0_23"

What version and flavour of MySQL JDBC driver are you using??

i am using mysql-connector-java-5.1.6.jar as a mysql driver

5.1.17 is the latest. 5.1.6 seems very, very old. Maybe you can try to upgrade

i use mysql driver 5.1.16 and everything is right.upgrade your mysql driver.
