First of all, please post designer questions in the designer forum
The reason is simpel: we always add features first in the engine, then the designer follows later.
We're not a big team, hence we are limited in our bandwidth. It will come, but it is a matter of time.
Of course (cheesy-mode ON), it's open source and we would gladly welcome any contribution in that area!
