Acivities Feed Notification template

Is there any documentation, or a configuration file somewhere that tells me what root level objects/variables are available in the activities feed email template?

As far as I can tell, none of the usual root objects are available (companyhome, userhome, searchService) - but there are clearly some variables, namely "activities" - which appears to be a hash.

I know I could probably alter the activity summary free marker template to add the extra data into the summary object which would then be available to me in the template, but I'm not sure I want the data in the activity feed object (i.e in activity_summary) as I only want to use it in the feed notification template, not other areas such as the feed dashlets etc.

Is there anything I can do to either a.) find a list of what variables are present, or what root level objects I have at my disposal, or b.) is there a configuration file somewhere where I can add in other root objects - such as ones usually found in the tempalteService?

Thanks,

Tom.

No-one got any ideas?

To give you a bit of background, what I'm basically trying to do is add a richer entry to the "blog-post-created" activity feed, to include a small snippet of the blog post content. At present it just has the title of the blog post - which isn't great.

I don't think I can add this into the activitySummary, as from 4.2 the blog post webscript (blog-post.json.js) seems to have dissappeared (I guess it's baked in somehow) - overwise I would simply over-ride this and add more detail into the jsonObject that is the activitySummary.

So I'm at a loss really on how to do this…. desperate for any help or advice!!
