Have you invited the Guest user to the Space using the Manage Space Users action?

Thanks,

Kevin

Only Guest can access or all Consumer role users?

Needs to be Guest for anything that does not require a login such as an RSS feed.

Thanks,

Kevin

I think Alfresco really needs to work on authenticated RSS…

For companies , The excisting RSS is just useless, because they don't want guest acces…
This would be a really good important new feature for Alfresco..

Hi Nick,

We've already got a demo of something like this in v2.1, which was really easy to create using web scripts.

I don't know if you've seen the 2.1 portlets yet, but the doclist also comes with an RSS (ATOM) feed version, e.g.
http://localhost:8080/alfresco/service/ui/doclist.atom

Because the "service" servlet uses BASIC HTTP authentication, you can enter a URI in your feed reader such as:
http://user:pass@localhost:8080/alfresco/service/ui/doclist.atom

I've tested this on the Netvibes.com pages and it works well.

The doclist script can be passed either a path or Lucene query, so isn't just restricted to the user's home space.

There's also a simple complete example in the Web Scripts sample package…

http://<host>:<port>/alfresco/service/index/package/org/alfresco/sample

called

'Folder Listing Sample' which provides html and atom responses.

The OpenSearch urls provide examples of html, atom & rss.
