Is there a 64 bit Alfresco or are there any plans for one?

Since Alfresco is 100% Java,  there is no such thing as a 64 bit version - it rather depends on the underlying Java runtime. And with a proper JRE you will e.g. benefit from the larger available heap space - no more 1.5 GB Barrier….  Smiley Very Happy

We have a number of Alfresco installations running in 64 bit.

At this time all of the pre-packaged versions of Alfresco are 32 bit  (i686)
if you want 64 bit (x86_64 in my case), just check out the Java code and run Ant - you get all the extras too!
see:   http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Alfresco_SVN_Development_Environment

and remember to configure /etc/alternatives with java if you have multiple versions on your system - gcj, sun etc
