3rd applications cannot save data directly to webdav folder

Hi,
In windows 2k, XP, I map the webdav folder in Network Place, but when using notepad, or other application, I cannot save file directly to the mapped folder in Network Place. It's very important, because my users use webdav to import & export a lot of files / time.

The application you are using must support the WebDav protocol - you should be able to save to the folder using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Open Office etc.

Is there any way to fix this ? A software stands between mapped dav folder & 3rd softwares ?
