1.1.2 -> 2.0 upgrade path?

Hi,

I am running alfresco 1.1.2 and would very much like to go to 2.0 without having to recreate our document vault. We have a very straight forward installation with no rules, just a plain document repository. We have now grown it to the point that we need to start adding rules and I would like to get upgraded first.

Is there a way I can import the data into a 2.0 install?

thanks in advance,

Hi,

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=143373&package_id=157460

Try 1.2 -> 1.2.1 -> 1.3 -> 1.4 -> 2.0.

Install a full 1.2 and set up the configurations using the proper extension mechanisms.  The samples metioned on the Wiki (http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Database_Configuration) are in the 1.4 release but are usable for the 1.2 onwards.  So you can copy the sample config files from a 2.0 installation.  Once you have a 1.2 running with fully externalized configuration, then you can point to your data (after backing it up) and go.  After that, you should just be able to drop the WAR file into Tomcat each time.  Allow for a generous startup time as some of the patches and scripts have to do a fair amount of work and backup your data between steps.

Good luck and post here if you have major issues.
