What controls the maximum size file that can be uploaded?

I have not been able to upload documents (pdf, in this case) larger than about 13.5 MB, either with the drag & drop Firefox plugin, or by using the content upload mechanism when creating a new document via the web interface. In each case, it quietly fails after a long wait. It seems as if it must be a time-out setting somewhere, but I don't know where. I haven't been able to pinpoint the critical point in the server logs. What controls the maximum file size? I need to be able to upload pdf files in the 30 MB range. By the way, I'm running version 5.4.2.

Check to see if there is a database timeout.

[anything in your server log? is it possible that it's a database timeout?]

Yes, we followed those directions and it made no difference that I can tell. The upload of my 27 MB pdf dies quietly after a long wait.

Are there any edge devices (e.g., firewalls) between your browser and Nuxeo that may have file size limits?

Not that I know of. I'm running Linux Mint 12 "out of the box" and have not knowingly installed any firewalls or other interference. I have no trouble uploading very large files via ftp to other servers.

Yes, it was a database transaction timeout. Thank you.
