Visio file download issue in IE

Hi Folks,

Initially, application/vnd.visio2013  mimetype is not registered with my Alfresco EE 5.0.3 instance.

Lots of vsdx file are uploaded on the server and downloading of it works fine in chrome and FF browser.

As the above mimetype is not available, all the previously uploaded file has  application/octet-stream as a mimetype.

Now i have added application/vnd.visio2013  mimetype in Alfresco instance and but for all the previously uploaded file, if i download it from IE, it saves as .bin file.

If the mimetype is available, it should be downloaded as .vsdx file? or shall i need to write a script to change the mimetype of the available documents.

Hello.

You will need to write the script to update the nodes and set the right mime type, as that one is defined when the file is uploaded.

Once the wrong type is set, you have to change that by hand.
