Hello Everyone,
Iam not able to upload a document in alfresco, could someone help me to fix this. and search functionality is also not working only users are searchable but not documents.
In log files im able to find only solr parse exception no other errors are logged. I think there is some problem with indexing so im planing to re index and i have 1.93TB of data, can anyone suggest me how to reindex such a huge data? Do i have to follow the same process of reindexing as mentioned in alfresco documents https://docs.alfresco.com/5.2/tasks/solr-reindex.html? Kindly help to solve this issue. its a high priority.
Im not able to understand uploading issue is also an solr indexing problem.
Thanks in advance.

This issue might not get resolved by just reindexing. As you are not able to upload files as well, you should check whether there is enough space is available on the server or not. Please, check the logs and verify.

uploading issue got solved there was an network issue, firewall was blocking uploading as non compliant http.
My main problem is search, im not able to search any of the documents and even from solr admin panel could not find the cores alfresco and archive so i think i have to reindex the documents , how to reindex the huge data around 1.93TB. Is it feasible enough to reindex using this process?https://docs.alfresco.com/5.2/tasks/solr-reindex.html. how much time it requires to reindex such a huge data. what if it stops in middle.
Kindly help.

Its a huge amount of data so definitely it will take time to reindex.
I would recommend solr sharding.
Please, refer https://docs.alfresco.com/5.2/concepts/solr-shard-overview.html

hi,
Iam new to work on shard in solr, I was wondering that what is the use of solrBackup folder in alf_data, i have backup up to 9th of april in solrBackup folder in both the cores, what if i can copy those indexes in alfresco and archive core by deleting the existing indexes. will it work? Kindly suggest.

Yes, you can restore that backup and try.
Before that, you should take a complete backup of existing indexes.
Pls refer, http://docs.alfresco.com/community5.1/concepts/solr-backup-recovery.html
