Hello,
I hope somenone can help me. Is there a possibility to move/export a certain alfresco site (including all details, like description, categories) to another server/instance? There are no smartfolder or other customizations.
Thanks,
Florian

yes, the "import" and "export" works and should work with 6.x Versions. These actions are still available.

There is an AddOn on github called "alfresco-share-import-export" , It allows exporting and importing from Admin console via Share UI. I have upgraded the AddOn to work with ACS 6.x. You can use this AddOn

It depends on how big your site is. If it is no more than a few hundred MB in total you might be able to do an ACP export and then an ACP import on the other instance.
Take a look at this blog post from Formtek:
https://formtektips.blogspot.com/2016/11/import-and-export-of-alfresco-acp-files.html
If that doesn't work for you you'll have to do your own export/import which you could script with CMIS or the public REST API.

I’m trying to move a site from an Alfresco Community 5.2.0 to an Alfresco Community 6.2.
Will this addon work with this version difference?

Hi @lukas_klug
I think what you are wanting to do is to upgrade from 5.2 to 6.2 - which is different.

Thank you for your replay.
I have two Alfresco Instances (5.2 and 6.2) from two different companies.
Now I want to move a site from 5.2 to 6.2 because of some project migration to an other company. Is this possible or do we have to move all data by hand?
Best regards Lukas
