Hi there,

I am newbie with Alfresco development, so would like to ask if ADF can be legally used for Community Edition?

Thanks a lot for your interest in answering!

Yes, it is for Alfresco Content Services.
Not yet for Activiti (only Alfresco Process Services powered by Activiti).
Just FYI: in few weeks, things will change on the Activiti side... stay tuned.

Just a little clarification...

Alfresco have two Community Edition products named as follows:

  • Alfresco Community Edition (for Enterprise Content Management (ECM)) - (Alfresco for short)
  • Activiti Community Edition (for Business Process Management (BPM)) - (Activiti for short)

Each of these two Community Edition products have corresponding Enterprise Edition products named as follows:

  • Alfresco Content Services (ECM) - (ACS for short)
  • Alfresco Process Services (powered by Activiti) (BPM) - (APS for short)

The Application Development Framework (ADF) currently 'legally' works with:

  • Alfresco
  • ACS
  • APS

As Francesco mentions we do have plans to make the ADF work with Activiti in the very near future.

Any updates for Activiti being supported by ADF?
