Moreover, you can search something like this:

TYPE:'cm:folder' video

In this thread: same question, but no results, sorry. I suppose is neccessary to change source code or try to find any addons.

Yes, as commented by Jose Angel, it needs several modifications in the live query search component. Probably it would give a very large result to show in screen considering also documents, sites and users.

OOTB, for a quick folder search in a site, I use the search dashlet in site dashboard (putting "term AND TYPE:folder").
