How to create a custom language selector?

I want to create a option the selected language will show in your site.

Like:  In DSpace i have select any language then my size will convert in that language using language jar. in alfresco i have must change the language of browser so my client requirement they want to language selection option in dashboard or login page.

Some time ago, for Alfresco 4, I used this addon in a similar way of Alfresco Cloud (Alfresco » Login ).

Maybe some clues are inside the github code. The initial form is surely outdated, maybe the dashlet is in part reusable.
