Hi everyone

I want to update 25000 files from filer in Alfresco-community 5.2.

Bulkimport is processing fine, but i need to upload old files metadata too.

Example :

If in filer the file named « test.v2.0.pdf »

I want this file to be named in alfresco « test.pdf » and its « version 2.0 »

Is it possible ? How to solve this problem ?

Thanks

Léon

You can set the metadata of the files when you run a bulk import by creating a shadow file, see Preparing the file system | Alfresco Documentation

I know you can add the versionable aspect by adding the aspect to the list of aspects in the shadow file, but I do not think you can set the version label. I just tried it by specifying cm:versionLabel in my shadow file and it didn't work.

But maybe that gives you some ideas to try.

Hi
Thank you for Jeff Potts for your answer.
I also think that older file versions will be difficult to import into Alfresco-community.
I will rename identical files before import into Alfresco.
