Elastic Search integration in Alfresco Community Edition

Hello Alfresco team and community,

As the version of SolR 6 used in the community edition is getting old and has some security issues, could you tell me if it is planed to integrate Elasticsearch (Alfresco Search Enterprise) into the Alfresco Community Edition in the near future? If so, is there a roadmap or timeline available?

This feature would be a great enhancement for many Community users, and I’d appreciate any insights or updates you can share.

Hi Cedric,

This has been identified and defined as a potential task, but it has not been started yet. There was a previous Community initiative exploring this idea (alfresco-open-ass) but it never gained enough traction to progress into a full implementation.

At this time, there is no active roadmap or timeline for integrating Elasticsearch (Alfresco Search Enterprise) into the Alfresco Community Edition.
