alfresco global properties

does anyone know how to solve the

Cannot find Alfresco Repository on this server. (Does this application have access to alfresco-global.properties? Does this application have cross-context permissions?)

problem unlike the others I can start postgres ok but the application itself doesn't seem to be connecting to the actual database on installation.

I have tried permissions on the properties file 644 600 and 777 still no luck connecting

Can you please post your tomcat logs ? And also which version of Alfresco are you using ?

Have you ever switched to another database after you installed alfresco?

And does the user that you run Alfresco has write access to your content store

Thanks for the replies I have been checking it out over the weekend and I am convinced it is a 3rd party package issue so am going for a full resintall of Postgresql as a standalone DB and then connecting alfresco to it.  Thanks for the support so far
