Hi all,

I'm Massimo and I'm new in the forum then I'm sorry if my English is not undertandable or if I'm not clear exposing the problem;

I have an installation of Alfresco 5.2.3; sometime ofter a restart due to a problem, I found that the chain of the  objects in alf_child_assoc is broken loosing many child objects; I try to explain better with an example:

my repository has this structure

root

  folder1

      sub1a

      sub1b

      sub1c

      sub1d

      sub1e

  folder2

      sub2a

      sub2b

      sub2c

      sub2d

      sub2e

.....

after the restart I can have some folderx tree broken, like

root

  folder1

      sub1a

      sub1b

      sub1c

      sub1d

      sub1e

  folder2

      sub2a

      sub2b

.....

if a make a query on db in table alf_chiald_assoc i can found only Sub2a and Sub2b, but I have loose the others...

there is a way to rebuild the structureor to find the child loosed?

thanks for all suggestions

Regards

Massimo

It looks like you have a DB problem.

Alfresco relies on the transaction skills of the database. If nodes in Alfresco disappear after a restart, it means that either a pending / incomplete transaction has been rolled back or your database has a problem.

Which db product are you using? Does it run on the same system that Alfresco is running on?

Hi Robert,

Our Alfresco works on Oracle 11Db; we communicate with repository via Cmis 1.1.

there is a tool that can make some check on db consistency or someone else that permit to understand if oud db doesn't work well?

thanks

Massimo

Did you already get into contact with Alfresco Support? Since this is an Enterprise version using a DB only supported in Enterprise, and the issue (corruption) is a serious one, you should get them involved as soon as possible.

thanks for response.

i will try with alfresco support
