The Web Project Library is a community-sponsored effort to promote and share sample web projects that have been built using Alfresco Web Content Management. In a sense, they are small websites that users can easily install so that they can experiment with Alfresco WCM.
These packages are not part of the core Alfresco product and are not supported by Alfresco. Rather, they are distributed by the community with the sole intention of helping to bridge the gap for newcomers to Alfresco. These can save you a bit of time and help you to see the benefits of using Alfresco right away!
These Web Project packages are distributed and licensed under the GPL.
You will need Alfresco 2.1 to operate them (unless otherwise indicated).
The first thing you need to do is download and install the Web Project Tools plugin from the Community Forge. This tool lets you easily import and export web projects. You can grab it from the Web Project Tools forge project page. Documentation and installation instructions are included on the Wiki Web Project Tools page.
Once you have the plugin installed, all you need to do is download one of the packages and drop it into Alfresco. All of the web project packages are distributed as AMP files. You just download the file and then install it into your Alfresco instance using the Alfresco Module Management Tool.
All Web Project packages are available from the Web Project Tools community forge site! The following are currently ready for download:
We'd like to grow this web project library to feature even more interesting and useful sites. If you have one that you would like to contribute, please contact us at the Web Project Tools Forge project!
