Hi,

I need to define a custom model and many properties will need to be defined in multi language:
  • English (default)

  • Italian

  • ….
I've read everything in the Data Dictionary Guide (http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Data_Dictionary_Guide).
And I've read this article about multi-language properties: http://loftux.com/2011/10/30/alfresco-multilingual-properties-feature-or-bug/

User will probably use Alfresco Share with Forms to create contents.

Having my final users change the browser language to define translations is not an option.
Can you point me out to some document explaining me how to provide the user with the list of locales to feel for each multi language property?

NOTE I'm not talking about localizing the UI but localizing the content properties typed in by users.

Thanks in advance

This is a serious issue to me, I opened a bug here: https://issues.alfresco.com/jira/browse/ALF-12602

I don't believe I'm the only one with a need for multi-language properties and fully multilanguage contents and hopefully that will help all the others as well.

In the meanwhile if anyone has some suggestion to implement a working and reliable workaround I would be glad to share it back with the community after developing it.

Thanks

Bumping this up.

I can't believe nobody care about this issue.

I also created this bug:
https://issues.alfresco.com/jira/browse/ALF-13562

which is related but somewhat different.
