Email Notification when Content is uploaded or updated

Hi,

Im using alfresco 4.0b. I want to enable email notification everytime a new content is uploaded or updated/revised. Is there a way to trigger email notification. My SMTP is working fine and I do received updates daily under recent activities. I already created a rule under DocumentLibrary that everytime there's a new file uploaded or updated it will send an email to the group using notify_user_email.html.ftl template but still not able to get mail notification? Is there anything I need to enable on the server? SMTP is already configured and I able to receive notification during site invites only.

Same settings should be there for 4.0 also.

I already did that. My SMTP is working fine. I received emails even the test message. But it's not working on the rule I created on the Document Library.  My rule is running active and applied to subfolders and it should triggers when items are created or enter this folder, updated or deleted and if criteria is met it will send an email to my account. Is there also a timer or something that it will send automatically or config that is should send an email by a certain time.

I tried again to upload a content but I do not received any mail notification, i waited for about 4 hours, still no notification. But when I restarted the alfresco service, i received the notification for the said activity. Just to justify it, I tried again to upload a content and waited for an hour, still no notification. When I restarted the service, that's the time I received it. Could it be probably the service has the problem? That needs to be restarted in order to received notification?

hi, is there anything on the log files that has anything to do with email notification error?

I already solved this issue by adding activities.feed.notifier.repeatIntervalMins=(no of minutes).

Can you please specify the exact file name and the path where you have changed that parmeter : feed.notifier.repeatIntervalMins
