Hi,
while looking around for Alfresco books, I mostly found books about Alfresco < 4.

There's this one release this month but I can't say it's for Alfresco 4, it's mentioned nowhere.
Everyone has it or know if it's for Alfresco 4?

Recommended Alfresco 4 books are also welcome

Hello,
I have the book and is based on 4.0.

Is there anything 4.0-specific that you are looking info on?
Let me know if I can help.

Thank you, so I'm going to buy it.
Well, since I'm new to Alfresco and I'm using the 4.0 I'd like something to reflect this version.
Online sources are mixed with old versions and at this stage, is less confusing for me to have the idea of only 4.0.
But it would be nice to know the main differences between alfresco 4.0 and the previous expecially while porting
web scripts, dashlets, such stuff.
I do have some extensions for 3.3 or 3.4 and I'd like to port them to 4.0
Thanks for your reply

Not too many differences on webscripts between 3.3/3.4 and 4.0. They should port OK.
Most of the 4.0 enhancements have to do with UX, Administration, Scalability, Performance and Social Content

I go a little bit back to the original question. As i can see, Alfresco Share book is not a developer centered text. I'd like to ask you if you know some development book about alfresco 4.

I found "Professional Alfresco: Practical Solutions for Enterprise Content Management (Wrox Programmer to Programmer) " very useful. It is *not* 4.0 specifically, but much of it still applies. You've also got the documentation and source code. Let me know if there's anything specific you need help with.

Hi all,

I think there are around zero ore really few Alfresco v 4 books available. However I think Alfresco 3 based books are really good and it can useful even when you are using Alfresco 4.x versions.

Thanks
