so manu postres.exe processes

Hello,

I'm running Alfresco Community 5.2 on Windows 7. I notice there are 22 postgres processes started when I run Alfresco. Why are there so many? Is there a way to configure a smaller number? What is the minimum number needed for Alfresco to work?

As far as I know, postgres will split of sub-processes for certain function daemons and parallel processing. I must admit I have never investigated what those sub-processes each do and how their number could be controlled since I have never seen / observed them as a problem.
