Scheduled job to delete document older than x days in alfresco

Hi,

We have a requirement to delete docs older than certain days based on their arrival (creation date) in the system. I am just looking for options as to how this can be achieved through folder rules\ scheduled jobs or any other approach.

Hi,

A daily scheduled job (with java or even js code) querying the documents in batches would be enough. You may use effectivity aspect too for setting the expiration date, if you prefer it with respect creation date.  

If you delete "softly", you will send documents to thrash. Please take care on this, or use thrascan cleaner, which is a similar component.
