You are welcome to use whatever IDE you would like, but without knowing exactly what you are trying to do, we cannot help you.
Here is a series of tutorials you might like to read and work through. They were originally written for Eclipse and should work with Eclipse, but when I updated them recently I was using IntelliJ.
