Issue with office : document is locked

Hello !

I use Alfresco community 6.2 on centos 7.

I have succefully installed AOS 1.3 (with ssl). So with any office document I can click on "Modify in Microsoft Office". But there's a problem after editing and close any document with office. In Alfresco it says : " This document is locked by you" even if I have properly close Office.

However I see no error in log files.

Have you ever face this problem and do you know how to resolve it please ?

Thank you.

Hi @dareal

Are you working in Share or the Alfresco Content Application? Also, is this problem reproducible on different browsers?

Cheers,

Hello @EddieMay

I'm working with share. And this problem occurs in chrome and firefox. With IE I've got an error : Failed to open Microsoft Office...

It seems that it's the same problem as this (at the end): https://hub.alfresco.com/t5/alfresco-content-services-forum/alfresco-office-services-returns-127-0-0...

Hello @dareal

Have you tried setting

aos.baseUrlOverwrite

 ?

@EddieMay

Yes I have set the variable like this :

aos.baseUrlOverwrite=https://alfresco974:8443/alfresco/aos

According to the doc (https://docs.alfresco.com/aos/concepts/aos-issues.html), I use https for office. I have tried http just in case, but it didn't work.

The only embarrassing thing is that in the doc, the alfresco requierement version is 6.2.2 (https://docs.alfresco.com/aos/concepts/aos-prereqs.html).  I use 6.2.0 because I can't find Community version for 6.2.2.

Hi @dareal

AOS 1.3 works with ACS 6.2 but AOS 1.3.2 requires ACS 6.2.2.

Hello @EddieMay  !

Yes I have AOS 1.3.0 and ACS community 6.2

I continue to investigate and I have enabled the logging for AOS in alfresco :

log4j.logger.org.alfresco.module.aosmodule=DEBUG
log4j.logger.org.alfresco.officeservices=DEBUG

In the debug I see the Wedav LOCK and PUT

2021-01-14 09:43:21,284  DEBUG [aosmodule.service.WebdavService] [https-jsse-nio-8443-exec-3] ------------------------------< WebDAV: LOCK >------------------------------
2021-01-14 09:43:21,285  DEBUG [aosmodule.service.WebdavService] [https-jsse-nio-8443-exec-3] In Retrying transaction: LOCK 1610603001284
2021-01-14 09:43:21,335  DEBUG [aosmodule.service.WebdavService] [https-jsse-nio-8443-exec-3] Finished WebDAV: LOCK
2021-01-14 09:43:21,363  DEBUG [aosmodule.service.WebdavService] [https-jsse-nio-8443-exec-4] ------------------------------< WebDAV: PUT >------------------------------
2021-01-14 09:43:21,364  DEBUG [aosmodule.service.WebdavService] [https-jsse-nio-8443-exec-4] In Retrying transaction: PUT 1610603001363
2021-01-14 09:43:23,448  DEBUG [aosmodule.service.WebdavService] [https-jsse-nio-8443-exec-4] Finished WebDAV: PUT
2021-01-14 09:43:26,683  INFO  [content.transform.FailoverContentTransformer] [pool-2-thread-1] Transformation was successful
2021-01-14 09:43:26,758  INFO  [content.transform.FailoverContentTransformer] [pool-2-thread-1] Transformation was successful

But after saving and closing Office there is no Webdav Unlock.

Is there problem configuration with AOS 1.3 ? Do I have to add something in order to have this Webdav unlock ?

Sincerely,

Daryl
