Hello,

Is there the possibility to lock a document temporarily without hiding it from other users?

An example to better explain our issue:

We have a document X

User A downloaded It and modified the document

User B download the same document and modify it.

Then user A has his modification but not a modification from user B.

User B has his modification but not the modification from user A.

Now user A uploaded a new version of document X with his modification, then user B upload his version of document X just with his modification.

Now on Alfresco we have just the last version of document X with the last modification from user B.

We lost  an old version the modification from user A.

Is there a way to set up a Traffic Light to avoid user B from modification document X untill user A has uploaded this new version?

Thank you very much

Best regards

From one side if user A is doing an "Edit Offline" action, the document will be automatically locked. In this sense, user B won't be able to perform any action Smiley Very Happy

BTW: A recommendation to avoid that problem: https://www.onlyoffice.com/ They have an integration with Alfresco and I can confirm you it's working very well!!

I hope this info can help you.

Cheers,

Cristina.
