We have a very old in-house application that we've written that uses SOAP web services to access an Alfresco server (version 4.2). This application has worked perfectly for nearly ten years; however, as of this month (December 2021), it no longer works - it cannot connect to the Alfresco server and generates an exception.
Our web services application uses the Alfresco web services framework found on the alfresco web site. Here's some examples:

http://www.alfresco.org/model/application/1.0
http://www.alfresco.org/model/system/1.0
http://www.alfresco.org/ws/service/repository/1.0
As of this month, none of these pages are valid. Does anyone know what happened and if there are alternatives?
Perhaps, I'm missing something here, but if anyone could give me any pointers, I will be very appreciative
