How can I add custom data list type to the active model created in the model manager (Alfresco 5.1 Community) ?

I have Alfresco 5.1 Community installation where I created custom model using model manager. This model is in constant use and there are many documents in the system using this model.
I need to add custom data list in this model, but i suppose that model manager tool don't support this option at moment. So I exported my model, manually added custom data list type to the xml files.
How can I import this model back, if i cannot deactivate previous version of model?

Hello.

Short answer, you can't, at least, not using the Model Manager UI.

That is one of the many reasons I don't use and don't recomment using the Model Manager.
